How to register a domain name

Registering a domain is very simple. First off all you'll need to find a domain name registrar and then decide on a domain name.

Follow these steps on How to register a domain name:

1. Go to the domain registers website.
2. On the home page there should be a Domain Search box.
3. Enter the domain name you wish to register in the box.
4. Depending on the domain register, a list of domain names and domain suggestions will appear. Suggestions are good if the domain you were wanting is already taken. If your domain is not available you will have to come up with another name or use one of the suggestions.
5. If the domain is available, add it to your cart and continue to the order page.
6. A lot of domain register's offer other servcies such as web hosting, email forwarding etc when you make your order so make sure that you read carefully to ensure you don't add something to your order you didn't want. Some domain register's will have a number of offers meaning you will have to go through a few pages before you reach the payment page.
7. After going through their offers, you will finally be taken to a page where it asks you to confirm what you've added to your order. Double check this page and make any modificatiosn to your order if required.
8. Lastly you should be taken to an order page. Enter your payment details and finalize the order.
9. Congradulations! That's it, unless for some reason your payment was not accepted, your domain should be registered. You've just learnt how to register a domain name!
